Christmas is officially 5 weeks away, how mad? This year has flown by!
So it’s the time of year where everyone has parties to go to and wants to look their best. I love this time of year because you can use warm shades/tones of make up that just don’t look right at any other time of year!
Wheather it is shimmery highlighters to eye shadows, at this time of year, you can go all out! Help add an extra glow to your face, remember to highlight all the correct areas of your face; down the nose, middle of forehead, top of cheeks, chin and cupids brow if you want!
Dark, rich lipstick shades look perfect at this time of year, adding a dramatic edge to any make up look. I personally love dark purple/very deep pink shades at this time of year, just whatever suits you!
Again, all those warm gorgeous colours that just help open up the eyes, creating a gorgeous finish. Purples, dark blues, blacks, greys, greens; all look amazing at this time of year, helping your eyes pop. If your not sure what colour of eyeshadow will make your eye colour show more, have a look my post from last year here which helps explain it a little: http://madewithmakeup.co.uk/post/28425259406/answering-all-the-eye-colour-questions
I just think it is the best time of year to go crazy with glitters, metallics shimmers, try bold, deep shades that you wouldn’t normally go for any other time of year!
I’ll be posting my favourite winter time beauty products soon, so keep an eye out for that!

I purchased this product whilst I was on holiday in the airport. I wanted a primer that also reduced the rosyness of my cheeks and I had seen this around so thought I would try it. Plus, I thought the tube looked nice and colourful.
The formula has several colours in it;
I was more interested in the green tone to neutralize the redness, that way, I wouldn’t have to bother with make up abroad.
This is how the product looks before applied to the skin. Although it does feel silky on the skin, like mostly all primers out there, I don’t think it does what it says on the packaging. I didn’t find my skin any different - It didn’t give a brighter complexion and I didn’t notice any difference to my rosy cheeks.
For £24.00, there are a lot better products out there on the high street. If you are looking for a product that does all these things in one tube, this isn’t the product for you and I wouldn’t waste money on purchasing it.
I’ve heard from a few others that have tried this product and said it has caused breakouts on their face, so if you have sensitive skin, I’d stay away from this product.

This is definitely one of my favourite make up brushes right now for applying my foundation. I just think it blends really well into the skin, it helps build the coverage of a foundation without it looking really cakey which a lot of brushes like this can do because they hold quite a bit of product. It doesn’t leave streaks like most a lot of foundation brushes out there. The only thing I would say is this brush is a nightmare to clean as the product really sticks into the brissels but still, I love it!
Again, I really like this brush. Lovely and soft on the skin and the way it is shaped allows you to really get in and create the perfect face contour. You can use this for your powder ect also but I just use it for contouring as I find that is how it works best!
Maybe it is just me but I really didn’t like this brush. I don’t particularly like flat foundation brushes anyway as I find you have to use your fingers to actually blend the foundation, so it is a waste of time but this seemed to get really hard very easily with foundation. If you are a fan of these type of brushes, you may like it but as I said, I’m not a fan of these brushes so could be why!
All in all, I really do like real technique brushes, they are reasonably priced for the quality of the brushes and definitely worth a try if you haven’t already got some!
