I can’t say I’ve been blessed with long or particularly thick eyelashes, so for me on a night out, a pair of lashes complete my make up but recently, I’ve been hearing loads about eyelash extensions.

What are eyelash extensions?

The experts say “Eyelash extensions are applied in salons by specially trained therapists. Individual synthetic lashes are carefully bonded to your existing lashes.”

How Long Do Eyelash Extensions Last?

The experts say “Around eight to 12 weeks if you look after them. The extensions will drop off as your eyelashes naturally shed, so you’ll lose about 12-15 lashes every two to three weeks.”

Putting a set of eyelashes on completely changes a look, adding an instant dramatic eye. I love the way they can change my eyes and make me feel better about myself as silly as that sounds! (It is true).

I’ve had a look around for salons in Glasgow and the prices range from £55.00 to around £80.00 for an hour/two hour session, which I think is amazing considering I buy £7.00 pairs that last for a day! I think I will book an appointment!

If you have them/have tried them, let me know your thoughts, I’m always keen to hear what you guys think!

Okay, so loads of you guys are asking questions about what eyeshadow works with all the different eye colours out there. For this, I’m going to take a simple colour wheel!

The colour wheel is so important in make up, from eyes to foundations and that is because everyone is different and has different undertones/skin colourings.

To find the colour of eyeshadow to suit your own eye colour, it is really pretty simple. The shade on the colour wheel which most match your eye colour, the shadow you should choose should be opposite to the eye colour. The color wheel can work for all colour choices for makeup like Eyeshadow, foundation, lipstick!

BLUE EYES - You guys want to stick with colours in the orangey shades. This doesn’t mean you need to use orange  (if you want to though, why not!), just use shades like Golds, coppers, browns and bronze colours!

GREEN EYES -  The green eyed people of the world  want to try colours with red undertones, for example purples, beige, certain pinks and not forgetting, golds and browns.

BROWNS EYES - If you are lucky enough to have brown eyes, you can pull off any colour really, you have the widest selection of colours to choose from ; greens, golds, browns, greys, pinks, peachys and plums.

HAZEL EYES - I’d put myself in this group, almost (forever changing eyes) and if you have hazel eyes, you want to stick to browns, plums, lavenders and gold shades. I also find using shimmer shades can really make the eyes pop!

Just experiment guys, try find the tones and shades that suit and work for you!

Hope this helped some of your questions!

Golds and browns are amazing colours for people with hazel/green eyes, they make the eyes pop.

Gorgeous yet easy look to achieve. A light brown shadow blended into the crease of your eye, a black liquid eyeliner, white eyeliner across your waterline and mascara or even lashes to set it off!
