Maybelline have a lipstick called “Neon Red” which is a super bright red and gorgeous if you can pull it off. I have a few red lipsticks but two of my favourites right now are Avon Red Kiss, which is really vibrant on the lips but a more ruby red colour and Illamasqua Liable is also really good and matte on the lips. Russian Red by MAC is also amazing and such a gorgeous colour!
little cheeky online shop online at Illamasqua, don’t mind if I do!! :)
Some days you don’t feel the need for alot of foundation and other days, you just want to hide all the little imperfections on the skin & for those bad days, I have my top 2 foundations that will hide pretty much every little imperfection!

1. Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation
One of my old favourites. This foundation is heavy and thick, it stays in place for upto 15 hours and leaves the skin fully covered so you can get on with your day without worrying if your foundation needs touched up. It feels lightweight on the skin, which for the formula of the foundation is great! Comes in an excellent range of colours - me being the lightest as usual - 1c1 shell. I think this will always be one of my favs!

2. Illamasqua Rich Liquid Foundation
Ahhhh, I cannot describe how much I love this foundation, my top right now for definite. This foundation will literally cover anything! It provides long lasting coverage without feeling too cakey on the skin. The only thing I would say about this foundation is that it dries super fast, so as soon as it is applied to the skin, get blending! The colour range in the foundation is amazing and Illamasqua also do a white foundation - so if you have a colour which isn’t quite your colour, you can mix to get that perfect shade. I didn’t have to mix anything to get my perfect shade, which is 120. This also lasts so long, I’ve had my tube since December and it’s still half full (I use it everyday!).
What’s your fav foundation right now that works for your skin? :)

Illamasqua, as a makeup company, started from the roots of the 1920s club scenes, they took a lot of their inspiration from the film and theatre in that era, more alternative and dramatic looks. They believe in the power to express, be whoever you wish to be , through the use of make up, as if an alter ego.
“Illamasqua is for the bolder person hiding inside all of us. It is an act and an attitude. A symbol of tolerance. A celebration of idiosyncrasies. A confident statement of self-ownership.”
Packaging:
Illamasqua lipsticks come in a sleak, black in colour tube, with the makeup brand in a lovely classy silver writing. I must admit though, even though they are an amazing make up company, I do wish they would invest a little more in their packaging!
Textures/ How the lipstick goes on:
The lipsticks come in different textures, from matt to glossy. For me, I find matt finishing lipsticks the best as they tend to stay on longer! The lipstick goes on the lips beautifully, gliding smoothly and it never seems to dry out my lips – which I have found that some MAC matt lipsticks can do.
Illamasqua lipsticks are truly my favourite since I tried them last month. For me, they top other top brands like MAC (and trust me, I am a big MAC fan). Illamasqua have THE BEST variety of colours I have ever saw in a lipstick collection, from golds, blues, purples, pinks and reds. They have 36 different shades of lipstick, to suit all types of people and personalities. The black those edgy colours for the bolder and braver and have the reliable colours for everyday use.
The lipstick comes in at £15.50 for a 4g tube, which may seem expensive but the lipstick will last you for a long time, even with every day use. The bold, bright and daring colours of illamasqua lipsticks are most definitely worth the money you pay for them!
You can purchase them from their online site or illamasqua debenhams counters. The great thing about purchasing them from the illamasqua site, is that if you are/have been a student/makeup artist, you can register your details and get the professional discount of 20%, which is really good and saves those pounds!
I would urge anyone who wants a lipstick that has beautiful colours that stay in place, go on beautifully without drying out the lips and come in an amazing range of colours, to give illamasqua a try! I can almost guarantee you will not be disappointed at all.

Illamasqua Human Fundamentalism Collection, this collection takes your alter ego to new levels of self-expression! Illamasqua always have great collections, I wonder if this will become one of my favourites, what do you all think?!

I had to give them a try!
Illamasqua nail varnishes come in at £13.50 and is a 15ml bottle. They have well over 50 different colours to choose from, from white, peacock green, gold glitter to black (their colour range is one of the best I have ever saw, can find something for everyone). The colour I picked up, funnily enough was called “grab”. A stunning baby pink colour. When using the nail varnish, the first thing I noticed was how beautifully creamy the varnish was, very luxurious. The colour was as beautiful on my nails as it was in the bottle, magenta glossy polish - something that doesn’t happen often with many nail varnishes I have tried. It went on thick and creamy to my nails, spreading the colour wonderfully. I only needed to do 2 coats til I was happy with the outcome (You could definitely get away with 1 coat, I’m just OCD about it). I noticed this nail varnish is also really hard wearing and doesn’t chip easily - HOORAY, FINALLY! It has a very high gloss finish whilst maintaining that beautiful colour intensity.
I would definitely say get down to your local Illamasqua or their online store and check out the amazing variety of varnishes they have, for everyone. This is the best nail varnish I have tried, from 3 reasons. The intense colour, for being hard wearing and for the high glossy shine!Check out Illamasqua, they have an amazing range of lipsticks in all different colours, they also have amazing lipgloss colours that are definitely pushing boundaries in the cosmetic world!

Hey everyone! So, the other day I got my Illamasqua order through and in that order, was this foundation which I had never tried but wanted to give it a go as I heard really good things about it.
When I applied it onto my skin and began to buff (I’d not recommend a normal foundation brush for this as you need to work it into the skin or it may look cakey). It is, without any doubts, the best foundation I have ever came across. This foundation hides all those imperfections and gives a gorgeous healthy glow to the skin without it looking caked on.
For anyone who is a fan of foundations that will stay in place all day and are quite medium to heavy coverage (more coverage that Estee Lauder Double Wear) this foundation will make you as happy as it has made me!
Illamasqua are such an amazing company and everyone should check them out. If you are studying makeup or even a makeup artist that has already studied - you can also make a professional account and get a 20% discount! Who can complain with that?!
