Truth

It’s wedding season and I’ve had a lot of questions recently about bridal makeup, so here’s some products I’d recommend (Asian bridal).

So every bride on their big day wants to feel flawless and fabulous and that is why I’m going to tell you some make up products that will keep you looking fresh all day long! On your wedding day, you want make up that will last the duration of the day/night, keep you looking glamorous without you having to worry that it has all came off. It’s always difficult when you’re trying to choose what make up look you want for that one special day of your life that you will always remember but what is even more difficult is trying to find the perfect products that fit the bill. It’s important that the cosmetics you choose are long lasting, long wearing and looks like it has just been applied all day long.

When we look at the typical Asian wedding makeup, it is very dramatic and it makes a statement. Here are some products that I think every bride needs on that one special day to make you feel like the perfect bride.

FOUNDATIONS

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation is one of the best foundations in the cosmetic market. This foundation is very suitable and recommended for your big day as it is a medium/ buildable coverage, it lasts up to 15 hours, it has amazing staying power, doesn’t smudge, so you remain flawless all day long (so that is one less worry) and feels lightweight on your skin so you don’t feel too caked!

Other foundations I would recommend are: Illamasqua rich liquid foundation (amazing coverage, long lasting and feels light on the skin) and mac studio fix foundation (again really great coverage, lasts all day long and feels great on the skin) Illamasqua skin base foundation (light weight, full coverage) and also Nars sheer matte finish (adds a healthy natural glow to the skin and gives that perfect coverage all day long(.

EYELINERS

Most Asian brides rely on liquid eyeliner to give that dramatic edge, which is why I am recommending Estee Lauder Double Wear Liquid Eyeliner Zero smudge. This eyeliner has the best staying power out of all the liquid eyeliners I have tried, with staying power of 15 hours. It is zero smudge and its super fine felt tip applicator makes it easy to give that defined line.

Other eyeliners I would recommend are: Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner as it is long wearing and comes in so many different shades to suit everyone, eyeko liquid eyeliner as it’s simple to use and of course, another fav of mine, Dior eyeliner pen!

LIPSTICKS

Once again, you want a lipstick that keeps its colour, stays in place without the need to re-apply and that is why I am recommending mac pro long wearing lipcreme to you. It is a lightweight texture, beautifully and creamy on your lips, comes in so many different shades and lasts up to 12 hours, which is just what you need!

Other lipsticks I would recommend are: Maybelline super stay 24 colour, max factor lip stain, Rimmel lipsticks as they are really hydrating and Benefits benetint that stains the lip and keeps in the colour.

Whatever products you choose, just make sure that they have good staying power, lasts for more than 5 hours and can keep you looking fresh all day long, after all, you will be looking at the photos for the rest of your life!

Hope this helps answer all the questions in one!! Remember, these are just some products that I like, it doesn’t mean you 100% will, it’s your own personal opinion.

Just some looks I think are gorgeous! Some from SS14 collections and Chanel.

Gucci are said to be launching their first ever makeup collection in September, from lipsticks to foundations, what are your thoughts on this? Are you excited?

My ultimate favourite products for contouring are Illamasqua cream pigment in hollow and benefit hoola. I just find both products work perfectly with my skin tone.

I must admit, I do prefer the illamasqua cream pigment as it is much easier to blend and helps create a really natural finish.

It also lasts for ages! Had mine for over a year now and I use it everyday, still so much product left.

Hello everyone!

Well, if you remember a few months ago I posted saying that I would update you all on when the full Osbourne collection has been shown…that time is now!

As expected, there are gorgeous lipstick shades, great eye shadows/pencils for creating Kelly’s signature smokey eye looks and subtle but really complementary face products!

Here’s a little look at what will be available:

Sharon’s Collection

The MAC collaboration will be available from the June the 2nd, so we don’t have too long to wait! What do you think of the colors, packaging and products? I’m personally really excited, I do love a good MAC Collab!

So after using this foundation for the past week, I’ve noticed some problems with it.

Despite it being an amazing coverage foundation, long lasting and coming in a variety of shades, for the first time ever with a foundation, my skin has broken out!

When I say broken out, I don’t mean in spots or anything like that but it’s more like an under the skin rash on my forehead and chin area.

Having looked into this further, I can see that this had happened to quite a few people that have used this foundation but I really think it just comes down to your skin and sensitivity.

Let me know if you guys have tried it and had the same problem!!

Foundation dupe!!

As most of you know, I love my double wear foundation and have done for years, so for me to say I’ve found a foundation really similar to the product is a good thing! The product being Revlon colour stay.

Both foundations are extremely similar in product, give a full coverage and last for hours on the skin - double wear will last that little bit longer but who really needs a foundation that will last all day long anyway?

Obviously revlon doesn’t have quite as many shades as double wear but.. Wait for it… It works out £15.000 cheaper!!

If you’re looking for a good full coverage foundation and can’t afford to pay the price for double wear, maybe you’d like to give this a try!

I’m going to keep my eyes peeled in the shops and do a post on make up dupes for you all in the next week or so!

Natalie :) xoxo
