Well, I don’t know about you guys but it certainly hasn’t been much of a summer in Scotland! Thankfully though, in a little more than a month I am off on holiday to enjoy the sunshine with my wonderful family and best friend.

Some people from a similar climate to mine have no idea what types of makeup to use when on holiday, some even wear the same as they would on a rainy day, BIG NO NO!

MY SUMMER PRODUCTS THAT ARE A MUST HAVE WHEN THE SUN IS OUT TO PLAY!

Tinted moisturizers are great for summer and most companies have them. On those warmer days, you want your face to feel light and fresh, often if you wear foundation, the heat will make your face seemed cakey and feel heavier. Tinted moisturizers are lightweight, more natural looking, often have SPF in them and give a healthy, dewy finish!

Waterproof Mascaras are a must have in summer! The hot weather causes you to swear which means you may have a mascara massacre (slight exaggeration but I do love my mascara). A good waterproof mascara means you don’t have to worry about it running and you can splash in the water all day long if you choose to!

Lip balms are really important to have during the summer, as the sun easily can blister your lips, which none of us want! You want to keep them full of moisture and hydration. Most lip balms come with SPF in them to protect them from the suns harsh rays!

I’d say for just being out and about on a hot day, these are the products to stick to, lightweight, natural and will create a radiant look!

For those summer night time looks, you can just easily add a bold lip or some complimentary eye shadows and you are good to go!
